Social Skills Groups

Our social skills group will provide an amazing opportunity for your child to confidently learn the skills needed to build and maintain successful peer relationships while further developing their speech and language skills.  Engaging, theme-based sessions will facilitate your child’s development of practical skills related to social situations in order to be successful in a larger classroom environment.  Specific highlights of our play-based sessions include: initiating conversation, joining in conversations, understanding non-verbal social cues, and problem solving for when social situations go “wrong”.

Experienced speech-language pathologists will help your child understand the feelings and emotions related to social skills and how expressing emotions and using self-control impact the communication experience.
