Melinda Sherer Rogers, MCD, CCC-SLP is a speech language pathologist who graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Communication Disorders. She has six years of experience working with children of all ages. She has worked in a variety of settings including home health, a private clinical setting, and in public and private schools. Melinda worked with preschool and middle school children in Gwinnett County Public Schools for five years. She also served as the lead teacher in a private school for children with special needs. She organized and managed a classroom with students ages 6 to 15 years.
During her time in both public and private schools, she provided assessment and intervention services to children within a variety of disorders including: receptive and expressive language deficits, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency disorders, intellectual/cognitive delays, learning disabilities, cleft palate, apraxia of speech, mild to severe autism spectrum disorders, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, agenesis of the corpus callosum, Prader Willi Syndrome, traumatic brain injury, children with cochlear implants and hearing aids, chronic Epilepsy, and social/emotional disorders.
Melinda joined Express Yourself Speech Pathology Services in February 2013. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a professional license and teaching certificate in Speech Language Pathology from the State of Georgia.
